The Pleasants County Sheriff’s Office is open for general public hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
The office is closed on Weekends and Holidays. General Office Phone is 304-684-2285 and is answered only during regular business hours.
The Sheriff’s duties, as Law Enforcement Official, include but are not limited to:

Serve and execute all returns, notices and processes issued by the courts

Act as bailiff for the courts

Enforce court orders

Administer transportation of prisoners, mental patients and extraditions

Issue concealed weapon permits

Ensure protection and law enforcement for the citizens
